The Farias's sisters started sailing in 1997, Ivana (16 years old) was the first to learn. Their father said that he would only buy windsurf equipment if the others sisters, Juliana(19 years old) and Karla(20 years old), begin to sail too. So, Ivana talked a lot after each sailing session until she made the other sisters want to take a course of windsurf too. After 2 years of sailing, Juliana and Ivana started to compete at Ceara's contest for fun and for vacations, since they realized how the contest could help improve in each modality wave and slalom. In 2000, followed the Regional's championship; 2001, the National's where they had chosen the wave category. In 2003, the sister had the opportunity to visit the best windsurf wave spot in the world at Island of Maui- Hawaii, and sailing at famous Ho'okipa Beach Park. In 2005, Ivana and Juliana were following the Professional Windsurf World Tour, PWA, getting more trusty and experience at sport. Today, The Farias's sisters are still competing as much as they can at National's contest, some PWA events, and also available for any promotion of the sport as windsurf trip or the new fashion- "the butterfly effect" for the water women sports in touch with windsurfing magazines and websites.
Ivana Farias, born on 10.10.81, at Fortaleza- Ceara-Brasil, Arquitecture graduated from University of Fortaleza, UNIFOR.

Juliana Farias, born on 04.12.78, at Fortaleza-Ceara-Brasil, Dentistry graduated from Federal University of, UFC and also Massage Therapist from SPA Luna- Holistic School at Maui- Hawaii.
